No More Reblog Mondays?

After much debate, I have decided that there will be no more Reblog Mondays… at least not for the time being!

No More Reblog Mondays?

This month’s classes (Threat Modeling and Intel and one on C++) hold some great new challenges for me as a cybersecurity student – drafting up some sizeable projects that will set me on the path to becoming an effective security professional.

These projects include:

  • writing up a daily cyber threat and intelligence report to be read by the Dean and Department chair,
  • creating a threat model for a University single sign-on (SSO) system,
  • and creating an SMB threat intel site

Therefore, as much as I enjoy reading content created by professionals in the field, my focus for the foreseeable future will be working on these projects (which I see as potential portfolio pieces) and learning from these experiences.

I hope I’m not disappointing you too much since there is certainly plenty to be gained from reading the work of others. However, I will be publishing these projects on theWhiteHatHACKER as they come up, so I’ll still be publishing plenty of content for you all (not to mention the weekly Thursday blog post).

Due to my courseload for this month including several larger projects, I will be putting Reblog Mondays on pause for the foreseeable future. I hope that these projects are worthy of becoming portfolio pieces to showcase my work as a security professional in the near future. If that is the case, I will be publishing them on this site so other students, consumers, business owners, and perhaps even hiring managers can see my work.

If you found this post helpful, please be sure to share it with your peers. Online security benefits us all and will only become more critical as technology’s presence grows in our community.
