When I first began my CyberSec program, it took me about a month to really catch the bug to want to learn.
Maybe it had something to do with transitioning to being back in school after so long.
Or perhaps it was because I felt a little (read: a LOT) out of my comfort zone with the material and just froze?
My background in psychology wasn’t exactly working in my favor.
Anyway… once I did catch the bug, I was insatiable! I started reading every blog I could find, listening to podcasts, downloading phone applications to practice my cryptography and Python. I started doing #allthethings.
And what’s more, I had fun doing it.
Therefore, I wanted to take a few minutes and let you know the tools I’ve been using to develop my CyberSec skills.
Aside from my school-assigned textbooks and labs, of course.
This is by no means an exhaustive list.
I’m certain I’m missing other fantastic bloggers and podcasts. Not to mention phone applications and online courses. These are just the resources for cybersecurity students that I have come across in my first few months of being in school.
I’ll be adding to this list as I find more engaging tools for CyberSec students.
